Player Grades: Purdue 69, #17 Wisconsin 56

Player Stats/Thoughts Grade
Ben Brust, G

8pts, 3-1oFG's, 2-8 3pt FG's, 3 rebounds,  38 min.

Unfortunately, Ben Brust couldn't keep is ridiculous February play going in this game. Brust had trouble getting anything going offensively and played some not so stellar defense.

Ryan Evans, F

10pts, 7 rebounds, 4-6FG's, 2-4FT's, 4 assists, 25 min.

Despite a mild knee injury, Ryan Evans came out and played a really solid game on Senior Night. He was hitting his shots and hustling all over the court, even with the obvious pain.

Mike Bruesewitz, F

2pts, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 1-6 FG's, 2 turnovers 28 min.

Not a good game at all for the Bruiser. I'm sure he would have liked to have a better Senior Day.

Traevon Jackson, G

6pts, 3 assists, 3-4 FG's, 1 rebound, 4 turnovers 34 min.

Jackson didn't have a huge impact on the offensive side of the ball, and that may have hurt the Badgers a bit. Jackson did hit a few midrange jumpers, though.

Jared Berggren, F

13pts, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4-12 FG's, 1-6 3Pt FG's, 4-4 FT, 32min.

I don't want to be too harsh on Senior Day, but Berggren just didn't have it going tonight. You could tell he was looking for shots as if it was "his moment", but it just wasn't working out for him. By the way, when will he learn to stop shooting threes? He's now shooting 27.7% from beyond the arc on the season. YIKES!

Sam Dekker, F

10pts, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4-8FG's, 2-5 3pt FG's, 26 min.

Sam Dekker showed us even more glimpses of what a special offensive talent he could be in this game. If Dekker can keep up his explosive play off the bench, the Badgers will be a tough out come tournament time.

George Marshall, G

5pts, 2-4 FG's, 1-2 3pt FG's, 9 min.

Marshall's struggles continued in this game, and it didn't look like he was in rythmn on offense. He's still seems to be adjusting to Wisconsin's style of play.

Frank Kaminsky, F

2 pts, 1-5 FG's, 0-4 3pt FG's, 8 min.

Frank didn't see a lot of time because of the three Senior Forwards, so we'll give him a bye this game.
