Our View: Kenzel Doe was maddening, both in a brilliant and awful way, as a returner and receiver for the Badgers. However, his time in Madison is up and that means a new kick/punt returner and wide receiver needs to be brought in. Enter Andrew James out of the Fort Lauderdale area.

If there’s one thing the film shows on him is that he’s got elite sprinter level speed, and that can’t be taught. He also seems to have a lot more wide receiver skill than the last coaching staff gave him credit for.

The one big hangup with him being a major contributor at wide receiver is his overall lack of size. The good news there is he doesn’t shy away from contact in the least and the film shows he also isn’t afraid to block. Nothing will get you on the field at UW faster as a wide receiver than being able to block down field.

He’ll get a chance in the fall to make this team as a returner first while also learning the position, but don’t be surprised if he ends up as a redshirt if there are few struggles in the return aspect early on.
