2015 National Signing Day: Bradrick Shaw profile

High School Accolades: 2nd team All-State by Alabama Sports Writers Association (behind his own teammate)

Senior Stats: 119 carries, 933 yards (7.8 ypc), 12 TDs

Our View: Shaw was a huge surprise commitment when it happened, but the Badgers are getting a great combo back with his signature in the 2015 class. Add in Stevenson’s alleged upcoming year at the JUCO level and Bradrick Shaw became a big piece of the class when it was all said and done.

Going in to a state like Alabama and pulling a player with offers from all over the SEC from a program with the pedigree of Hoover was also huge. Shaw’s film shows he’s a big enough back to take some punishment, but possesses a good enough second gear in the open field (clocked at a 4.5 in 40-yard dash). Additionally, watching him (even as a sophomore) you can see Shaw has that one-cut mentality that works so well at Wisconsin. He sees a hole, makes one cut off that decision and has the power and speed to make his decision work.

He could be a sleeper in terms of importance to this class by the time he is done at Wisconsin.

With Stevenson off the table, don’t be surprised to see Shaw make a move for playing time from the second he walks on campus.
