Our View: The 8-man football star went under the radar for much of his recruitment, and that was to Wisconsin’s advantage. Loudermilk’s recruitment did pick up at times, with Oregon and Kansas State battling it out with the Badgers in this recruitment.

Going from 8-man football to the Big Ten is going to be a big adjustment, but there’s little debate that Loudermilk has something special with his size and athletic ability. You can see that with his play on the offensive side of the football, but the big question is if he can turn that ability in to consistent play against others that are his size and have his athletic ability.

He will be one of the players UW hopes can help transform what the defense looks like up front, playing with length and allowing linebackers to play with more stealth off the edgers. While we don’t expect him to make an immediate impact, he could be one of the best players this class produces when it is all said and done.
