High School Accolades: Chicago Tribune All-State (2015)
Senior Season Stats: 43 receptions, 1,152 yards, 26.8 yards per catch, 12 TDs
Our View: If the Badgers have a major need for impact freshman at cornerback, the guys opposite the corners also have a major need for a consistent playmaker. In will step Kendric Pryor, who has put up some highlight reel catches over the course of his high school career.
At 6-1 and 175 pounds, Pryor has some decent size at the high school level, but he will need to get stronger (and do it quickly) in order to become a true difference maker. Still, it is hard to ignore the hands and the body control he already possesses — those are things you simply can not teach.
He’ll need to work on being more physical off the line of scrimmage, as well as being crisp in and out of breaks, but those are things that can be taught. Don’t be surprised to see Pryor in the mix for snaps early in his career — it just may not be this season if all goes right ahead of him on the depth chart at wide receiver in 2016.
