ESPN.com released its preseason power rankings and the Badgers tip the scale at the No.15 slot to begin the season. Wisconsin is one of four Big Ten teams to make the top-25 and are the highest rankedconference team outside of Michigan who sits at No. 8.

Bret Bielema turned some heads when he told reporters that Curt Phillips had a shot to compete for the starting quarterback position. The Big Ten Network announced that it will be broadcasting two Wisconsin men’s soccer games thisseason. The October 21 game at Michigan State and the October 28 game against Northwestern will airlive on BTN.

The women’s soccer team will kickoff the fall athletics season with an exhibition match in Milwaukee against Marquette on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. Wisconsin is 6-5-2 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
